Zealous
A barque of 410 tons nm built at Monkwermouth in 1844 by Peter Austin and Sons. The Zealous visited Adelaide in 1848 under command of Captain John Wilson.

The Zealous came arrived in Adelaide from London on 26 May 1848, carrying mail, passengers and emigrants. The ship's surgeon on this voyage was Mr M Thomas. It is intersting to note that the captain was fined £1 for neglecting to deliver the mail.[List]
